Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Furnish and deliver prescription medications for residents of NJDC. 2. Prescriptions shall be furnished and delivered in bulk or retail quantities to the NJDC location. 3. Prescriptions shall be labeled in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws, and the Virginia Board of Pharmacy regulations. 4. The Contractor shall be available on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week basis, that may include emergency and stat (immediate) deliveries. 5. NJDC is seeking a pre-packaged prescription delivery system. Prescription medications shall be provided in individually labeled unit dose “blister packs” and standard prescription bottles. 6. Contractor shall fill up to a thirty (30) day supply of medication per prescription, including refills. 7. Contractor shall not accept refill requests without appropriate physician authorization. 8. Contractor shall notify NJDC when there is a significant factor change pertaining to medication(s) currently or routinely provided to any resident. Significant factors include, but are not limited to price, drug availability, new generic substitutes, and/or medications being removed from the market for any reason.
