Specifications include, but are not limited to: B. Existing equipment at RIC currently is compromised of: 1, (28) JBT Passenger Boarding Bridges 2. (13) 30 Ton FMC XPC PC Air Units (Preconditioned Air Units) 3. (8) 45 Ton FMC XPC PC Air Units 4. (7) 50 Ton ITW/GSE PC Air Units 5. (21) 90 KVA JetPower GPUs (Ground Power Units) 6. (7) 28-volt GPUs 7. (7) 400 HERTZ/28 VOLT itw/gse Combination GPUs. C. Services 1. Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, phone support, equipment, tools expendable items and replacement parts as required under the terms of this contract, necessary for the quarterly and yearly preventative maintenance and on-call repair of the equipment and associated equipment listed in B, above. 2. All necessary support services, supplemental to RIC Technical Staff services. This shall include emergency repairs on a call-out basis as may be required to maintain proper functioning, operation and reliability of the Passenger Boarding Bridges and ancillary equipment. a. All related mechanical, electrical and electronic systems associated with the equipment listed in B above, including cables, motors, fans, alarms, belts, indicator lights, computers, computer boards and accessories, etc. b. All related instrumentation, controls, electrical and electronic services through the motor controllers including the secondary breakers serving the motor controls, and up to but excluding main disconnects in primary switchboards serving motor controls, starters, etc. c. Repairs of major equipment, or replacements due to normal wear and tear, or catastrophic causes. d. Repair and replacement of components which may have become warn or damaged due to the general operating environment of aircraft support, including but not limited to 400HZ nose pieces and cables, retriever cables, PC Air hoses and connections, thermo-couple and cables, etc. D. Preventative Maintenance 1. General Maintenance: The contractor will be responsible for ensuring all work performed on the Passenger Loading Bridges is in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations and all the methods and operations of best standards and accepted practices of the trade or trades involved. All work shall be performed by personnel skilled in their respective lines of work. The Passenger Loading Bridges shall perform to the specifications for which they were designed upon completion of the service. 2. Preventive Maintenance: Contractor shall perform a routine quarterly and yearly preventive maintenance (PM) in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and submit it to the Airport Electrical Manager for approval. The services shall be performed diligently and without unnecessary delays during periods scheduled for service. The PM program approved by the Manager shall commence upon written notice to proceed and continue according to the submitted schedule. All maintenance will be in strict compliance with the original equipment manufacturer's specifications and recommendations. The PM Program shall assure high system reliability and indicate necessary actions to be taken to continue reliable operation. 3. Remedial Repairs: Contractor shall respond within the response times required in the Schedule of Maintenance included in this RFP. Contractor personnel shall work continuously until the critical malfunctions are corrected. 4. Where it is evident that safety, reliability or efficiency can be improved through capital investment in equipment, Contractor shall call such matters to the attention of the Airport Electrical Manager. 5. Contractor shall have a minimum of five (5) consecutive years of recent experience in the Maintenance and repair of similar equipment. 6. Contractor shall provide the required personnel and equipment for regular preventive maintenance and on-call emergency corrective repairs on a 24- hour basis, 7 days per week, as per the Schedule of Maintenance included in this RFP. 7. Contractor shall provide all tools, office equipment, communications equipment and vehicles to perform the duties under the Scope of Services. 8. Contractor shall be issued repair work orders generated by the Airport’s maintenance management system. Work orders issued by Airport Maintenance will be filled out by Contractor and returned to the Electrical Maintenance staff upon job completion. 9. Contractor shall submit a preventive maintenance report at the end of each scheduled PM, hard copy and electronic copy detailing the repairs, adjustments, parts used, inspections performed, dated and signed by the personnel performing the PM.
