Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Danville is soliciting proposals to provide all materials, labor, equipment, supervision and incidentals to replace three existing overhead signs on Central Boulvard. Work required includes but is not limited to: Mobilization, Traffic Control, Existing overhead route marker sign removal, Fabrication of new signs ( 16' X11. 5', 16'X9. 5', and 13. 5X8') sizes using 3M retroreflective Diamond Grade series 4000 or equivalent, Installation of new signs; General Construction Sequence: Fabricate new signs. Mobilize personnel, materials and equipment. Set up traffic control in accordance with the Virginia Work Zone Protection Manual. Note that the proposed traffic control layout must be approved by the Danville City Engineer, or his designee, before implementation. One travel lane must be kept open at all times. Arrow board is required. Remove each existing sign and replace with new signs. Old signs are to be disposed of by the contractor. Prior to new sign installation, inspect and repair or replace supports if needed. If repair or replacement of supports is needed, the work will be verified by a Traffic Shop employee and a change order issued to the contractor. All fasteners used to mount the signs to the supports are considered incidental and should be part of this quote. Remove all equipment, excess materials, vehicles and traffic control at the end of each work day.
