Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Measure the level of limestone or marble chips to ensure the tanks are adequately charged to the manufacturer’s recommended levels for neutralizing. b. Limestone must be certified as having calcium carbonate content in excess of 90%. The chips must be 1-3 inches in size and must be of irregular patterns. c. Remove used limestone or marble neutralization media. d. Remove all sludge and debris from tanks. e. Flush out inside of tanks so there are no signs of sludge. f. Inspect tanks, including but not limited to, all connections: • Waste lines going into the tanks. • Discharge lines for clean water leaving the tanks. • Gaskets • Lids and bolts for physical damage such as cracks, leaks, corrosion and deteriorated silicone gasket material. g. Provide the Facility Manager with a list of all physical damage or deterioration found as a result of the inspection. This list shall be provided within three (3) business days after the inspection is made.
