TASK #1: TREE GROWTH REMOVAL a. Cut and remove the tree growth and other woody vegetation from the groins and slopes. Contractor to mow area following tree/woody vegetation removal. All trees and woody vegetation on the dam embankment and within 25 feet beyond the embankment shall be removed by non-chemical method. This includes the groins plus 25 feet, the toe plus 25 feet, the primary spillway plus 25 feet, and the auxiliary spillway plus 25 feet. Tree stumps shall not exceed 3” in height. b. All trees and woody vegetation must be removed offsite. “Removed offsite” means that trees and cut woody vegetation shall be removed from the dam. Chipped woody vegetation may be spread at the dam if such spreading does not impede vegetation growth: chips spread on the ground shall not exceed 2 inch depth.
