Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Independent Contractor (IC) will be granted access to the PWC’s facilities and the Information Systems Division during normal business hours, and additional hours as agreed to in advance. The IC will be allowed remote access to systems via VPN connection. The assessment should include but not be limited to: a. Independent Contractor (IC) to provide consulting services by conducting an Information Systems Assessment to: Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the DoIT Cloud Adoption plan and associated network modernization plan. b. Identify Industry best practices for an Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure modernization. c. Help DoIT maximize return on investment to ensure that future investments in technology are supportive of the County's evolving business and technology needs. d. Perform a strategic high-level assessment of PWC's information technology modernization plans: o Existing infrastructure and plans for Cloud modernization. o Infrastructure needed to meet organizational objectives. o Recommended additions and changes. o Comparison of alternatives. o Strategic and tactical recommendations. e. Recommendations for process, skill, and technology improvements. f. Estimated cost and implementation time for each recommendation and alternative. g. A report to PWC senior management including summaries of the information technology assessment and recommendations. h. Work with County staff to produce a strategic roadmap for technology. i. Produce a specification that will allow the County to issue an RFP for a Cloud services and Infrastructure Modernization plan that the County will use to acquire final detailed design and implementation services for a network and infrastructure modernization.
