A. The Virginia Retirement System (VRS) seeks sealed proposals from qualified insurance companies licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Virginia to provide Third Party Administrator (TPA) services for the Group Life Insurance Program. The current contract is with Securian Financial and expires on June 30, 2025. The intent is to establish a term contract to provide the administration, insurance, and independent processing for the Group Life Insurance Program. The Group Life Insurance Program includes the following: 1. Basic Life Plan including Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) coverage for members of the VRS and other employees of political subdivisions. The Basic plan covers approximately 610,000 VRS members (including about 210,000 retirees). 2. Optional Life Plan including AD&D and Spouse and Dependent Child Life Plan for members of the VRS and other employees of political subdivisions. The Optional plan covers approximately 85,000 members. B. Additionally, The Virginia Retirement System (VRS) is seeking sealed proposals from qualified firms to provide Third Party Administrator (TPA) services for the managed disabilities programs. The current contract is with Alight and expires on December 31, 2025. The managed disabilities programs include the following: 1.Virginia Sickness and Disability Program (VDSP) 2.Virginia Local Disability Program (VLDP)
