a. CLASS RINGS 1. Rings must be available in at least four types with minimum pennyweights, stone size and thickness 2. Gold a. All 10K Gold used in the manufacture of school rings will be plumb (a full 10K or more) and will be stamped with karat gold content as well as with the manufacturer's trademark. b. The yellow gold rings will be core hardened to 185-200 brinell. c. Each finished ring will be in the "highlight" quality by individual hand process. d. Offer a yellow and white alternative to gold. Additional white alternatives may be offered. White alternatives must include one fine jeweler's stainless steel. e. All rings shall be solid filled backs. Plastic and other materials are not to be used. 3. Stones a. Schools will have the choice of either genuine stones or synthetic stones. All stones will be positively guaranteed against defects in shape, cutting, finished material, and setting. The synthetic stones shall have the same properties as the genuine stones they represent and shall be uniform in color, cut, depth, and faceting.
