The City of Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department (BGPR) is investing in one (1) portable/mobile stage trailer. This portable/mobile stage trailer will assist the City with downtown events in City parks. Minimum Specifications For: One (1) Portable/Mobile Stage Trailer, all standard factory-installed equipment plus any accessories specified herein, which may be optional. The trailer shall be new, unused, and the latest model offered by the manufacturer’s current production. Items/ accessories not specifically mentioned herein, but necessary to finish a complete functional vehicle ready for use, shall also be included. The City shall determine if the Optional Item(s) will be purchased. Itemized Specifications; Mechanical Performance • Model Year: Latest model year • Material Type: Aluminum • Total Trailer Size: 10 feet by 20 feet (length includes trailer tongue) • Stage Size: 10 feet by 16 feet (does not include trailer tongue) • Wheel base: No wider than 7 feet • Tires: Low-profile 12 or 14 inches • 2-person set up performed under 45 minutes using only tools provided with the trailer, without the need for heavy equipment. • Meets Requirements in Entertainment Services and Technology Association’s (ESTA) ANSI E1.21- 2024 Entertainment Technology— Temporary Structures Used for Technical Production of Outdoor Entertainment Events. • Anti-sway Hitch System • Stamped Engineering Plan for the Portable Stage Trailer in compliance with ANSI E1.21-2024. This plan must be submitted within thirty (30) days of the bid award and approved before fabrication begins. This must be provided in PDF format. • Trailer must comply with all applicable DOT regulations. Load-Bearing Capacity • The stage platform must be rated to support a minimum live load of 125 pounds per square foot, for a total distributed load of at least 20,000 pounds across the 10' × 16' surface, in compliance with ANSI E1.21-2024 and applicable industry safety standards. • Structural capacity must be certified and included in the Stamped Engineering Plan. Weather Resistance • All surfaces and components must be weather-resistant and rated for outdoor use. • Include a HWAP (high wind action plan) for the stage with a stated performance threshold specified. Material Finish and Corrosion Resistance • All aluminum and steel parts must be powder-coated, anodized, or treated to prevent rust and corrosion. • The finish must withstand outdoor conditions for a minimum of 5 years without significant degradation.
