Specifications include, but are not limited to: Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) requests proposals from qualified Contractors with requisite experience to perform scheduled and emergency repairs for its ferry boat fleet. Contractor shall perform repairs utilizing parts and processes that comply with United States Coast Guard (USCG) regulations (see CFR 46). All work must meet or exceed industry workmanship and quality standards, as expected on a USCG regulated vessel. There may be occasions when the USCG will identify additional work and require proof of repairs. Contractor shall assume all risks for any work that is deemed non-compliant. The following is a sample list of conditions that may result in repairs under this Contract: 1. Boat will not start 2. Leaking fluids 3. Window repair or replacement 4. Door repair or replacement 5. Vibrations in shaft(s) or props 6. Leaking around shaft seals 7. Removal of debris wrapped around the prop and/or shaft 8. Rudder issues and running gear issues 9. Blown fuses/Circuit Breaker continues to “trip” 10. Engine overheating 11. No rudder angle indication 12. Continuous alarm or alarm not received 13. Bilge pumps not working 14. Inability to shift forward or reverse 15. Engine shut down 16. Loss of controls 17. Electronic Control Module (ECM) failure 18. Radar failure 19. Hydraulic line failure 20. Failure of battery to charge
