Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Project scope includes, but is not limited to, the design and construction of a four-lane divided roadway and bridge crossings; one over the Norfolk Southern Railroad and a Diverging Diamond Interchange over the Prince William Parkway. The Project begins approximately 2,900 feet west of the existing Devlin Road/Wellington Road intersection and extends eastward approximately 6,800 feet, on a new alignment, to the existing Balls Ford Road/Doane Drive intersection. This Project will also include a 10' shared use path on one side and a 5' sidewalk on the other side of the facility and provide access to and from I-66 for the nearby existing and planned developments. The roadway corresponds with the VDOT GS-6 Standards. The design, evaluation, investigation, and Project oversight work may include, but is not limited to, the following disciplines or services: (a) roadway, (b) survey, (c) right-of-way acquisition, (d) utilities, (e) structures and bridges, (f) demolition of structures, (g) permitting, (h) geotechnical, (i) hydraulics, (j) storm drainage and storm water management, (k) pavement reconstruction, pavement overlay, and new pavement, (l) railroad coordination, (m) guardrail, (n) retaining walls, (o) traffic control devices, (p) signs, sign structures, and foundations, (q) roadway lighting, (r) transportation management plan, (s) traffic maintenance and management during all phases of construction (t) landscaping, (u) public involvement/relations, (v) quality assurance and quality control, (w) construction engineering and inspection, and (x) overall Project management.
