Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Disassemble and Removal of Trailer from Existing Location (Line Item No.1): a. Trailer can be disassembled but cannot be transported until 10 days after CCPS submits the DLI Virginia Department of Labor & Industry Permit Application and Notification for Asbestos Removal and Demolition b. Ensure all utilities have been disconnected. (Actual disconnections are the responsibility of CCPS). c. Remove skirting and anchor tie downs. d. Cut roofing, floor tile, mateline strips and remove lag bolts from roof and floor connections. e. Remove and save for reinstallation, all canopies, aluminum decks and aluminum ramps/steps as applicable. f. Dispose of all skirting and other miscellaneous debris off site, place canopies inside the trailer unit and secure the unit for transport. g. Remove all mateline appurtenances to include but not be limited to exterior metal, interior wood trim, floor moldings, floor tile, roofing, etc. h. Remove and save (for reinstallation at new location) all downspouts, if applicable. i. Disassemble trailer unit at mateline. j. Inspect hitch, axles, tires and wheels for damage. k. Reinstall trailer hitch, tires & tongues. Remove anchor from the ground and straps from the unit prior to installing tongue and wheels. l. Ensure proper pressure in tires. (Contractor to obtain this information from trailer manufacturer) m. Inspect & ensure hitch safety latch is working properly. n. Tighten all bolts per wheel manufacturer’s recommendations. o. Ensure all hubs have all wheel bolts in the hub and are secured tight. p. Secure all windows and doors prior to transport. q. Immediately notify CCPS of any defective or broken items such as axles, tires, tongues, wheel hub breakage, windows, doors, etc., prior to transport and delivery of the unit to a new location. r. Un-lag trailer unit at mateline and install shipping walls. Shipping wall materials shall be constructed of: plywood (minimum 1/2" thick), 2’ x 4’ framing (minimum 4 studs with floor and ceiling plate) – spacing 4’ wide and height ceiling to floor. Install on every 9’ center to center. The cost of the shipping wall materials is the responsibility of the Contractor. s. Install 2x4 shipping walls and wrap open end of trailers with 6 mil poly and ensure the trailer unit is weather tight prior to transport. Contractor shall not allow trailer(s) to be open to inclement weather at any time. t. CCPS has salvage rights on any items removed by the Contractor to include, but not limited to concrete pier blocks, anchors, tie downs, mating strips etc. None of the existing materials removed will be reused by the contractor as explained within this scope of work. CCPS will direct the material to be disposed of by contractor or delivered to the trailer storage yard. u. Clean up the existing trailer site to include backfilling any pier / anchor holes and removal of any debris v. Finish grade of former trailer site to include seed and straw. Seed shall be heat tolerant, fescue blend, 80% germination, saturate ratio one pound per 200 sf. 2. Relocate and Reinstall Trailer at the Same worksite (Line Item No. 2): a. Contractor shall transport the trailer units to the specified location at the same school site. b. Lay out and set-up portable classroom trailers in the location identified by CCPS. CCPS to approve final layout as marked on ground by Contractor, prior to assembly. c. Do not include anchoring into this unit price. Contractor will be able to select the appropriate anchoring system (Line Items 4, 5, 6, or 7 listed in Pricing Schedule) for each project request. d. Install lag bolts at roof and floor connections. e. Replace roof membrane at matelines. f. Remove and dispose of (off site) 2x4 shipping walls and 6 mil poly. g. Replace interior floor tiles, ceiling, and mateline trim with new, similar materials. h. Remove trailer, tongues and place under trailers. i. Install new exterior metal or wood trim at matelines and re-install downspouts (if applicable). j. Do not include skirting into this unit price. Contractor will add unit price (Line Item 8 listed in pricing schedule) into each project where skirting is needed. k. Do not include any cost for demolition or installation of stoops or ramps in this unit price. Contractor will be able to select the appropriate unit price (Line Items 13-22 in Pricing Schedule) and add it to each project request. l. Must call Miss Utility to mark public utility lines and will hire a 3rd party utility marking company to mark private utility lines prior to any installation work being done. Copy of the work order from the Utility Marking Company shall be given to the CCPS Project Manager. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to adhere to the Code of Virginia §56-265-24: “Duties of Excavator”, while performing work under this contract. m. Hire a professional cleaning company to clean the inside of the trailer to include wiping down all hard surfaces, strip and wax floor, (1 coat sealer and 4 coats wax) washing window(s) etc. shall give owner a copy of paid invoice from professional cleaning company, itemizing cleaning tasks completed. Owners custodial staff will do final acceptance. 3. Relocate and Reinstall Trailer at a Different Worksite (Line Item No. 3): a. Lay out and set-up portable classroom trailers in the location identified by CCPS. CCPS to approve final layout as marked on ground by Contractor, prior to assembly. c.
