Specifications include, but are not limited to: All food and beverage service must offer healthy options. For example, fresh fruit and vegetables, lean meats, vegetarian, etc. Vegetarian meals and other special dietary requests should be available with minimum advance notice at no additional cost. Attendees will be surveyed prior to the event for dietary restrictions and responses will be provided to the awarded contractor. These are likely to include but may not be limited to: gluten free, sugar free, vegetarian, vegan, specific allergies (e.g., nuts, dairy, wheat, etc.). Catering services are required, as noted below. VEC will confirm with the Contractor five (5) days prior to the conference the number of persons to be served each day. The cost of meals should not exceed the prevailing state per diem rate for meals including service and taxes.
