The National Park Service (NPS) requires spray injection pothole repair services on roadways under the jurisdiction of George Washington Memorial Parkway (GWMP). Roadway deterioration due to deferred timely rehabilitation projects has distressed pavement, causing the formation of potholes. The problem is particularly acute during the winter months where freeze and thaw cycles cause the formation of potholes. During the milder seasons of spring, summer and fall, prolonged rainy spells cause additional potholes.
