Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Qualified football officials to officiate youth and adult flag and youth tackle football games for the football season. B. Officials certified by the contractor’s governing association and be a minimum of 18 years old. C. A complete list of certified officials prior to the start of the season along with additional names added during the season. D. The Contractor shall ensure that all employees have been approved and passed all necessary background checks, including the National Sex Offender registry, to help ensure the safety of all program participants. E. Two (2) officials per game to work a total of approximately 80 Flag (youth ages 6 – 8) football games. F. Three (3) officials per game to work a total of approximately 110 Midget, Junior, and Teen Tackle (ages 8– 15) football games. G. Two (2) officials per game to work a total of approximately 60, playing 7 players vs. 7 players youth Flag football games (ages 8- 15). H. Two (2) officials per game to work a total of approximately 60 adult flag football games. I. Officials will call football games under the laws of the game (rule book) as set forth in the Virginia High School League including all variations adopted by the Chesapeake Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department Athletic Rules and Policies J. A seminar on the interpretation of the rules by the contractor’s authorized representatives prior to each season for the coaches.
