Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Games shall be held at various high schools and middle schools located in Loudoun County, Virginia. See Attachment I. B. All regular season games shall be played on Sundays between 11:00am and 10:00pm or on other days as inclement weather dictates the rescheduling of games. Make up games will be held on Saturdays and or weekday evenings as needed. C. Based upon the availability of a Loudoun County Public School gymnasium, there shall be a preseason tournament totaling eighty (80) games. There shall be a maximum of four hundred and fifty (450) boys’ games and two hundred and fifty (250) girls’ regular season games totaling seven hundred (700). There are thirty (39) boys’ playoff games, and twenty-one (21) girls’ playoff games for a maximum total of 840 games for the winter season, starting no earlier than Nov 1st and ending no later than March 31st. D. There shall be a maximum of seven hundred (780) regular season games/preseason games and sixty (60) playoff games for a total of eight hundred and sixty (840) games for the Winter season, starting no earlier than November 1 and ending no later than March 31st. E. In each game, there will be four (4) periods lasting seven (7) minutes. F. Teams shall have (3) full time-outs and two (2) twenty (20) second timeouts plus one (1) more twenty (20) second time out added to each team for each overtime. G. Teams may enter the lane on the release of a free throw after the first attempt during a bonus situation or after the release on the final free throw. H. The first overtime period shall be three (3) minutes with the clock stopping on all dead balls. During the regular season the second overtime period will be sudden death with the first team to score two (2) points more than their opponent. In the playoffs the overtimes will continue the full three minutes until we have a winner. I. Halftimes shall be three (3) to five (5) minutes in length, as decided by the officials. J. The home team must wear a light color jersey, and the visiting team must wear a dark color jersey. The offending team will change their jersey and wear a “pinnie” as needed. K. All other National Federal of State High School Athletic Association (NFHS) rules apply
