1. The Contractor shall provide disposal for approximately 40,000 tons of green waste per year. Volumes may vary due to seasonal fluctuations and storm events. 2. The Contractor shall comply with the regulations, guidelines, and standards set forth by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. The Contractor shall maintain and operate certified scales by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) standards for billing. The empty weight of the truck, also known as the tare weight, of each load, shall be determined along with the truck number, date, time, and operator number. 4. Billing and tonnage reports shall be provided on a weekly basis to the City. All reports shall be provided electronically in Excel and a PDF of the current invoice. 5. The Contractor shall maintain regular hours of operation Monday - Friday from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm, Eastern Time. 6. Holiday hours will be determined at the time of contract negotiations. 7. The City of Virginia Beach will deliver yard debris to the disposal site. The delivery/disposal site must be within twenty-five (25) miles of the Department of Public Works Waste Disposal located at 3024 Holland Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23453. 8. Green waste or yard debris is generally shrub and tree cuttings of typically less than six (6) inches in diameter, along with bags of leaves and grass trimmings. 9. Contractor must maintain all necessary permits and licenses throughout the contract period.
