The City of Lynchburg is seeking Bids (IFB) from interested and qualified firms for yard/wood waste grinding equipment at the Region 2000 Concord Turnpike Landfill on an “on call” basis. SCOPE OF SERVICES 1. The Bidder/Contractor shall operate yard/wood waste grinding equipment at the Region 2000 Concord Turnpike Regional Landfill on an “on call” basis. 2. The designated grinding site shall be open to the Bidder/Contractor from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday but no yard/wood waste grinding shall take place on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas, or New Year’s Day or such other days as mutually agreed upon 3. Processed materials shall be suitable for use as mulch. “Mulch” means woody waste consisting of stumps, trees, limbs, branches, bark, leaves and other clean yard/wood waste that has undergone size reduction by grinding, shredding, or chipping and is used for landscaping purposes, soil amendment or other horticultural uses and for a bulking agent in composting operations.
