Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose and intent of this Quick Quote is to obtain a fixed price bid to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, insurance, and supervision to conduct replacement of the Roof Thatching on Reconstructed 18th century southeast Native American Winter House exhibit located at Wilderness Road State Park, 8051 Wilderness Road, Ewing, Virginia 24248. Contractor shall provide, install, and render operational new/unused “Thatch” as used herein means “Professional grade water reed material with an installation depth of a minimum of ten inches” Contractor shall provide all supplies, tools and labor to complete the job as specified, except where specified provided by park within this document. Contractor shall provide all needed equipment for repairs including scaffolding. Contractor shall prepare all exterior exposed surfaces to receive thatch. Contractor shall apply thatch using a profession grade water reed material at a minimum depth of ten inches ensuring a minimum eight-to ten-inch overhang while complying with historic authenticity standards. Contractor shall secure thatch to roof frame using ¼ inch steel rods and stainless steel screws and fixtures. All steel fixtures shall be covered under a six inch layer of thatching material.
