Specifications include, but are not limited to: i) The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to repair the Visitor Center deck at Westmoreland State Park. ii) The contractor must verify all dimensions. iii) Remove current railing and deck boards. iv) Metal handrails, gutter components and view finders must be saved for re-use. v) Evaluated with designated park staff if any deck joists, beams, or support columns have been damaged and require replacement. vi) Supply and install replacements for damaged joists, beams or support columns. Like inkind materials pressure treaded materials must be used. vii) Contractor will ensure the deck is stable, level and meets current building codes. viii) Add blocking to deck frame where handrail posts are attached to ensure handrails are secure and square to the deck. ix) Butyl Tape must be placed on top of joists before installation of new deck material x) Supply and install new composite deck boards with Fiberon Good Life Escape or approved equivalent.
