The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit Sealed Request for Proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiation for the Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools(WJCCPS) for a plagiarism prevention and artificial intelligence (AI) detection tool for grades 6-12 that allows academic institutions to easily determine if students are writing and submitting original work. The program will provide educators with a tool that searches the Internet, as well as databases of papers and digital texts for sources of potential plagiarism. The tool would then generate a custom report that highlights and provides links to any textual matches found on the Internet, in databases of previously submitted papers, and/or in proprietary database es of subscription-based publication material. The desire of this program is to support the schools’ efforts for identifying academic integrity and to provide teachers with the resources to have conversation about academic writing.
