The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE), an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia, is seeking information from qualified vendors regarding blended professional development solutions designed to support the development, delivery, management, and evaluation of AI training programs for K–12 educators. These programs should be designed to empower educators in guiding student applications of AI and advancing the strategic goals of school leadership. This RFI is intended to identify innovative, scalable, and effective approaches that can: 1) Enhance digital literacy across all stakeholder groups; 2) Promote responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence; and 3) Upskill educators, students, and administrators to meet the evolving demands of a technology-driven educational landscape. VDOE is particularly interested in solutions that integrate in-person and virtual learning modalities, offer differentiated content for varied roles, and include robust tools for tracking progress, assessing impact, and informing continuous improvement. Responses to this RFI will inform future procurement strategies and help shape a statewide initiative to prepare Virginia’s public education system for the opportunities and challenges of AI integration.
