The NSF Video Game Challenge (working title) strategic program plan will be developed in Fall 2023/Spring and Summer 2024 and launch in Fall of 2024. Submissions will be accepted from the Fall of 2024 until early winter of 2025. Judging will occur in the early Spring of 2025, and winners will be announced, prizes distributed, and a final event will take place in the Spring of 2025. Post-competition follow-up and evaluation will occur in the early summer of 2025.
The contractor will assist a small team of NSF staff to help create the competition blueprint and tactics, then go on to help produce the competition by building and launching and promoting the competition, providing ongoing management and support throughout the whole competition cycle, and arranging bi-weekly meetings with the NSF team, conducting post-challenge evaluation, and preparing for future competition cycles.
The National Science Foundation shall provide strategic guidance, STEM expertise, messaging support, feedback, connections to certain stakeholder partners, and approvals throughout the design development process and the execution phase.
