In support of USMC Environmental Control Equipment (ECE) requirements, MCSC is interested in understanding industry's capability to design and produce a Variable Environmental Control Unit (VECU) with a capability that focuses on improving British Thermal Unit (BTU) Tonnage output with a reduced power consumption and are optimized to be powered by existing United States Marine Corps (USMC) mobile electric power, the Advanced Medium Mobile Power Systems (AMMPS) and USMC electric distribution systems, the Mobile Electric Power Distribution System – Replacement (MEPDIS-R). The VECU will need to use a Hydrofluoroolefin (HFO), a Low Global Warming Potential (LGWP) refrigerant rated at 750 or less and non-polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Information is requested in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format document.
