Specifications include, but are not limited to: The work to be performed under the terms of these Specifications consist of regrading to eliminate an impoundment, buttressing a slide area to prevent further erosion, installation of mine portal closures and sediment/drainage control, and improvements of access for potential future projects on the site known as the Vanover Impoundment Project for the Commonwealth of Virginia. The intent of these specifications is to prescribe the complete work to be performed. The specifications are written to permit and direct the work to be conducted by the Contractor’s forces. If there are any contradictions between the Specifications and Drawings, the Contractor shall bring these facts to the attention of the agency and obtain the agency’s decision as to the true meaning and intention before proceeding. A. The Contractor remains responsible for timely identifying any conflicts as may be found to the attention of the agency. B. In the absence of a formal written response from the agency, or in the event the Contractor fails to bring such to the attention of the agency, the Contractor is responsible to ensure compliance with the most stringent requirement.
