The Contractor shall furnish and deliver High Vis Safety Garment as described below: VDOT Traffic Safety Vests as per specifications (Attachment C) A. General: The design, construction, materials, performance and quality of Traffic Safety Garment Vests shall meet or exceed the requirements of ANSI/ISEA 107-2015 or ANSI/ISEA 107-2020, third party test documentation required. • Retro reflective material shall meet the requirements of ANSI/ISEA 107-2015 or ANSI/ISEA 107-2020, third party documentation required. • ANSI/ISEA 107-2015, OR ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 apparel compliance certificate provide by the manufacturer. B. Garment Construction: Safety Vests: The Safety Vest will be constructed of five separate pieces of material: two fronts and one back panel plus two sleeves. • Front and back pieces will converge at the shoulders and sides. Seams will be over-lock stitched. Garment Material: • Body and Contrast-Mesh material: fluorescent lime 70 denier bright flat trilobal polyester 3.5+ or -.2 oz per square yard. • Pockets-Solid material: fluorescent lime 70 denier bright flat trilobal polyester 3.5 + or -.2 oz per square yard. Vest Binding: • Vest bias: binding shall be fluorescent orange 6 oz. knitted polyester. Vest Closures: • 15” +/- ½” orange zipper front closure. • Zipper to meet bottom edge of vest. Vest Pockets: • One outside upper right 2-tier 3 division pocket with triangle back tacking in upper left and right corner for reinforcement. The pocket bottom will be placed 3” +/- ¼” above the reflective tape; the pocket bottom for size small will be ¾” above the tape. Pocket specs will be 4”x 6”. Measurement tolerance = +/- ¼”
