While having success, VDOT believes current CSC processes and technology can be more fully optimized and integrated with other key agency systems and resources. Therefore, VDOT is seeking assistance from qualified vendors to clearly define business and system requirements to enhance the current CSC system throughout the state and across the enterprise. More specifically, VDOTs objectives for the design and implementation of CSC System 2.0 include: - Improving the Departments ability to internally share and act on customer information. - More efficiently processing and responding to citizen requests for service and information. - Provide internal and external customers with better and more efficient access to information when they need it and by their preferred communication channel. To achieve these objectives, VDOT has initiated the following activities: - The definition and documentation of a CSC System 2.0 Concept of Operations (ConOps). The CSC System 2.0 ConOps is included as an Appendix to this RFI document (Appendix B). - The re-design of CSC business processes. - The definition and gathering of CSC citizen request management application requirements. - The procurement of an enhanced CSC citizen request management application.
