This is a source sought notice only and it is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to gain knowledge of qualified, potential contractors and their social-economic size classification in accordance with NASIC code 621399 Offices of All Other Miscellaneous Health Practitioners.
Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After a review of the responses to this source sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be posted. A response to this source sought is not an adequate reply to a potentially forthcoming solicitation.
The Virginia Army National Guard is seeking vendors that can provide dental service thought out the commonwealth of Virginia. No Reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought and no contract will be directly awarded on the basis of this sources sought. Any information submitted by respondents to this Sources sought shall be voluntary.
The following is a list of expending services, this list is subject to change based on information gather.
Class 3 dental treatments for Soldiers (as identified by VAARNG). Dental treatment authorized is outlined in Army Techniques Publication (ATP) 4-02.19 and Appendix 1. These services will be completed at contractor professional office unless otherwise specified in a separate written agreement. Contractor will assure that procedures are done in accordance with Federal/State Regulations.
- Acute gingivitis or pericoronitis.
- Active progressive, moderate, or advanced periodontitis.
- Periodontal abscess.
- Progressive mucogingival condition.
- Periodontal manifestations of systemic disease or hormonal disturbances.
- Heavy subgingival calculus.
- Edentulous areas or teeth requiring immediate prosthodontic treatment for adequate mastication or communication or acceptable esthetics.
- Unerupted, partially erupted, or malposed teeth with historical, clinical, or radiographic signs or symptoms of pathosis that are recommended for removal.
- Chronic oral infections or other pathologic lesions including:
- Pulpal, periapical, or resorptive pathology requiring treatment.
- Lesions requiring biopsy or awaiting biopsy report.
- Emergency situations requiring therapy to relieve pain, treat trauma, treat acute oral infections, or to provide timely follow-up care (for example, drain or suture removal) until resolved.
- Acute temporomandibular disorders requiring active treatment that may interfere with duties.
- Teeth that have had root canal therapy initiated, and temporarily restored with calcium hydroxide paste and a restoration.
