• Provide protection necessary to prevent damage to existing improvements not indicated to be removed, and improvements on adjoining properties. • Restore all improvements damaged by this Work to their original condition, and acceptable to the Owner, the County, and other parties or authorities having jurisdiction. • Protect existing trees and other vegetation indicated to remain in place against cutting, breaking, or skinning of roots, skinning and bruising of bark, smothering of trees by stockpiling construction materials or excavated materials within drip line, excess foot or vehicular traffic, or parking of vehicles within drip line. Provide temporary fences, barricades or guards as required to protect trees and vegetation to be left standing. • Provide approved traffic control measures where appropriate. • Remove from the identified sites trees, brush, shrubs, down timber, rotten wood, rubbish and other vegetation. • Remove all trees and brush within 10' either side of marked utility pipeline. • Stumps of trees, other than the above, to be left in place will be cut off will be left not more than 3" above original grade. • Clearing work will be restricted to area within rights-of-way or easements. • Unless otherwise noted, trees within the "Construction Limits" will become the property of the Contractor and will either be chipped and mulched on site or removed from the site. • Clean up debris resulting from site clearing operations continuously with the progress of the work. • Remove all waste material from site. Remove debris from site in such a manner as to prevent spillage. Keep pavement and area adjacent to site clean and free from mud, dirt and debris at all times.
