Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Contractor shall provide the following: 1. Fully qualified, professionally trained, security officers to provide security and protection of Department of Corrections (DOC) personnel and property. The primary purpose of the security officers is to control and restrict access to the DOC Headquarters building. 2. One security officer twenty-four hours per day, 7 days per week for the Front Lobby Reception area. The DOC will provide short breaks for Contractor relief during normal working hours. Additional security officer(s) may be requested, 24 hours advance notice will be provided to the Contractor by the Purchasing Agency. 3. Two security officers from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on all DOC regular business days (to cover the loading dock entrance) and patrol the building as well as relieve the other security officers for lunch and breaks except days that the building is closed due to adverse weather conditions or other reasons beyond the DOC’s control. 4. Continuous coverage after lockdown time at 6:00 p.m. and before unlock times at 6:00 a.m. unarmed security officer service is required at the Front Lobby Reception area with the exception of rounds. Rounds are to be performed once each shift during the business hours of 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. 5. Continuous coverage during regular business hours, between 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The unarmed security officer(s) on duty shall remain on duty until his/her relief arrives. 6. All uniforms, security supplies, equipment, training, and any employee benefits and insurance. 7. Supervision of the security officers. Supervision inspections shall be scheduled through the DOC General Services Manager and include, but not be limited to, post checks, standards of performance, conduct, appearance and punctuality.
