Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1 The Contractor shall furnish all labor and supervision to provide security services to the agencies' facilities listed on Attachment B. 2.2 The objectives of the contract are to provide protection against damage or loss from vandalism or theft, to provide building, vehicle and equipment surveillance, and to maintain a secure environment for blind clients and all staff of the Agencies by monitoring, guarding, and patrolling Agency buildings, grounds, and other properties. 2.3 The Contractor shall be responsible for providing qualified, experienced, state certified, personnel of the appropriate types and skill levels required to accomplish the work. Personnel must clear a State Police background investigation prior to placement or furnish proof of current clearance. The Contractor shall insure that guards carry no weapons of any description while on duty. The Owner reserves the right to reject Contractor's service personnel who, in the Owner's sole judgment, are not adequately qualified to perform the work. 2.4 The Contractor shall provide personnel able to speak, write and read English proficiently and to follow written instructions. Personnel must be in good health and free of physical or mental defects or abnormalities which would interfere with performance of duties. 2.5 The Contractor shall provide personnel who are familiar with the contract scope of work, specifications, and the Azalea Avenue Complex. 2.6 Work Hours And On Call Hours: Normal work hours for the guard(s) shall be thirteen (13) hours per day, 6PM 7AM, seven (7) days per week, including Holidays. Personnel shall not leave the Agency property during any shift. Periodically, the work hours may be extended due to special circumstances. The Pricing Schedule provides for additional charges for extended hours. Breaks shall not exceed 15 minutes. Security guard(s) shall report promptly and in condition to perform their duties effectively, be alert at all times, and shall check in and out with the Dorm Supervisor and assure that their whereabouts are always known. Security guard(s) may be required to monitor computerized security system at the security work station and respond as needed. A written report of exterior security light fixtures that are inoperative, activities/events shall be prepared and submitted to the Building and Grounds Supervisor at the end of each shift. Security guards may be required to escort staff or clients to and from vehicles in the event of inclement weather or perceived security situation. 2.7 The Contractor shall be responsible for providing uninterrupted coverage if the regularly scheduled personnel fail to report for any reason. 2.8 Sleeping on the job is prohibited and will result in immediate termination of personnel.
