Specifications include, but are not limited to: TATEMENT OF WORK The City will be participating in a Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) established by the United States Department of Agriculture, and managed locally by the Virginia Department of Education; 2.1.1 Sites must receive meals not more than one hour before the beginning of their meal service. 2.1.2 Breakfast and Lunch shall not be delivered at the same time. 2.1.3 There must be a single unit price for each meal type (no sliding scale). 2.1.4 All sandwich meals must be prepared fresh; not more than 24 hours prior to delivery. 2.1.5 Low-fat milk must be 2% (1% flavored milk will be accepted). Flavored milk option must be included with menu options at no additional cost. 2.1.6 Special meal requirements to meet ethnic or religious needs or dietary modifications for children with special physical or medical needs must be provided if requested. 2.1.7 Contractor must have a minimum of 5 refrigerated trucks used for daily route delivery, plus 1 refrigerated truck as an emergency back-up. 2.1.8 Each sandwich must be individually sealed.
