Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall be primarily engaged in the Security Services business and shall have been actively engaged in this field for a period of no less than 5 years. • The contractor will meet with the Senior Coordinator of Athletics and each High School Athletic Director to review schedules and needs. • The contractor shall follow all guidelines listed below to ensure safety at all high school athletic events that have been scheduled during the 2022-2023 athletic season. o Contractor shall arrive 30 minutes prior to gates opening to the public. o Contractor shall have a team meeting with the High School Athletic Director (HSAD), Norfolk Police Dept (NPD), and NPS School Security Officer (SSO) to review roles and responsibilities prior to opening gates. o Contractor shall provide a minimum of 4 hours per event when scheduled. o Contractor shall utilize school-based equipment for entrance into the stadiums: magnetometers and or metal handheld wands. o Contractor must wear identifiable gear at all assigned stadiums/venues. o Contractor must be Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) Certified. o Contractor and staff shall work with assigned Norfolk Police Department officers and Norfolk Public Schools Security officers during all assigned events.
