Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. All equipment furnished under this contract shall be new (no used equipment will be accepted) and the same as the manufacturer’s current production model. B. Equipment shall be complete units with all standard items; no deletions. C. The truck shall be picked up from the City of Chesapeake Garage, have the unit installed and delivered back to the Garage. D. New equipment service preparation must be performed by the contractor according to the manufacturer’s specifications. Equipment delivered without proper dealer preparation must be picked up, serviced, and returned by the contractor at no charge to the City. E. Accessories not specifically mentioned herein, but necessary to furnish a complete unit ready for use, shall also be included. Unit shall conform to the best practice known to the trade in design, quality of material and workmanship. Assemblies, sub-assemblies and component parts shall be standard for design. F. Upon delivery, the contractor shall test any controls on the unit and demonstrate satisfactory operation. This must be performed at the City’s Central Fleet Garage. G. The unit shall be provided with a manufacturer’s serial number, unique to that unit, permanently attached by plate or engraving, and easily identified. The serial number shall be used by the department and manufacturer to identify units for recall, to aid in recovery of stolen units, to establish ownership, and for other similar reasons. H. Invoice shall be required at delivery. I. Bidders shall complete every space in the “MEETS SPECIFICATION” column. If the item being bid is exactly as specified, place an “X” next to “YES”.
