The contractor shall: ▪ Provide trash containers which are clean, in good condition, have a neat appearance (not rusty) with top and side openings as specified and by design be animal/rodent and wind proof • Provide recycle containers with lids and side or front openings which are labeled to show acceptable recyclable items which should include aluminum, cardboard, glass jars and bottles, plastic bottles and containers, steel cans and mixed paper (office paper, newspaper, paperback books etc.) ▪ Maintain the containers material condition to be free from leakage, provide substitute containers when maintenance or repairs are being performed and exchange containers at no additional cost if determined to be damaged or unusable ▪ Disinfect containers as needed to maintain a healthy, odor-free environment. ▪ Provide a certified driver who possesses a valid Virginia Driver’s License for the type and size of vehicle being operated and an adequate number of personnel on the truck to ensure that trash and refuse are emptied properly and to ensure cleanliness of the trash staging area. ▪ Ensure that employees are uniformed and identified as employees. ▪ Provide trucks that are designed to prevent spillage of trash during the disposal process (if spillage occurs the contractor shall be responsible for the cleanup) ▪ Service containers between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. on Mondays through Fridays (see service frequency above). ▪ Service containers that are on an on call as needed basis with three (3) business days of receiving the call for service...
