Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Scope of work includes the removal of non-hazardous trash and recyclable items to be pickedup and disposal properly, according to the local, state and federal laws. B. The actual schedule for removal or emptying of containers as identified in Attachment A will be determined by the college Contract Administrator(s) and will be communicated by telephone or email request. The successful bidder shall respond to all requests for pick-up made before 12 noon within one (1) working day or if the request is made after 12 noon, within two (2) working days. Extra collections will be charged according to the Pricing Schedule, Unit Price for Additional Pull(s) of 8 CY Trash and Recyclable Container, as needed. The college closes for Christmas break for approximately two (2) weeks during the end of December and the beginning of January. C. The successful bidder shall disinfect containers quarterly to maintain a healthy and odor-free environment. Steam cleaning of containers or additional disinfections may be required as needed or as determined by the college. The successful bidder shall maintain all containers in good condition and appearance at all times as determined by the college’s Contract Administrator(s). The successful bidder shall provide substitute containers when maintenance or repair is being performed. Containers shall be maintained at no additional cost to the college.
