Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, dumpsters, tools, parts, materials and disposal/recycle fees as necessary to perform refuse collection service. For bidding purposes, the Northern Neck locations will be broken down into four (4) Lots as follows and bidders are NOT required to bid on all four (4) Lots: Lot #1 – Lancaster County Brookvale Area Headquarters 10418 Mary Ball Road Lancaster, VA 22503 Lot #2 – Northumberland County Lottsburg Area Headquarters 2258 Northumberland Highway Lottsburg, VA 22511 Lot #3 - Westmoreland County Hague Area Headquarters 6239 Cople Highway Hague, VA 22469 Lot #4 – Richmond County Northern Neck Residency A. Quantity, Size of dumpsters and Frequency of Service: 1. Each dumpster container shall be emptied by the Contractor based on the frequency indicated below, or emptied “on call” upon VDOT’s verbal request. 2. Service shall consist of placing one (1) container with a capacity of eight (8) cubic yards at designated locations for twelve (12) consecutive months. 3. The containers shall be picked up once (1) a week and emptied, including recycling service. The day of the week that the first pick-up is done shall remain the pick-up day for that location for the duration of the contract. 4. These containers must be disinfected and deodorized no less than (4) four times per year or as deemed necessary by VDOT. 5. All work services performed under this contract shall be performed Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00am and 2:00pm, excluding major holidays. Major holidays are to include January 1st, Martin Luther King’s Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, July 4th, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Election Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after and Christmas Day. If any of these holidays occurs on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be considered a holiday and if any of these holidays occurs on a Saturday, the previous Friday shall be considered a holiday. The actual collection days may be the Contractor’s choice as long as the day is consistent from week to week and has prior approval from the VDOT Contract Administrator or designee.
