Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Virginia Department of Health (the Department) is seeking a Contractor to perform the services needed to establish and operate the Virginia Center for Healthy Small Business (Center). The Center is envisioned as a sustainable public/private partnership with a statewide mission to expand small business health coverage. The Contractor shall do this by educating small businesses about the value of health coverage and employee wellness; identifying, fostering the development of, and promoting innovative practices within the small business community related to employee health and wellness; and providing tools and resources to assist small businesses to make informed decisions pertaining to employee health and wellness. The Contractor shall focus its efforts on serving small businesses, but especially those with 50 employees or less. The legal definition of a small business is determined by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and varies by industry Outreach & Education Platform. The Contractor shall help Virginia small employers to view employee wellness and employee health coverage as potential investments in employee productivity and business profitability. The Contractor shall do this through information dissemination, the identification and promotion and/or development of tools and resources for employee wellness promotion and for health coverage education. The Contractor shall be required to provide a customer support platform with wide reach, multiple access points, and heavy marketing. Key elements of the customer support platform shall include, but should not be limited to: Web-based Support. Telephone Support. Conferences/Seminars. Print Publications. Media Campaigns. Community Networking.
