Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to solicit competitive sealed bids to establish contracts with multiple contractors for temporary medical services at Department of Corrections (DOC) facilities statewide to supplement state employees and requires coverage for days, evenings, nights, and holiday coverage. 1. The Contractor shall provide all labor and supervision, as necessary, to maintain Temporary Medical Worker Services per requirements of the awarded contract. 2. The Contractor shall provide licensed staff to deliver medical care and services to DOC inmates on an as needed basis at one or more DOC facilities. Roles include but are not limited to nurses, physicians, psychiatrists, mid-level practitioners, optometrists, dentists, clinical social workers, professional counselors, and clinical psychologists. These services shall be furnished on an as needed basis, for the Practitioner Roles shown in Attachment A –Job Descriptions, as specified by each Facility Health Authority request. 3. Temporary Medical Workers shall comply with and provide services in accordance with American Correctional Association (ACA) standards, security regulations as they apply to the correctional centers, the DOC’s Directives and Operating Procedures (DOPs) for Health Services and Mental Health Services, and all federal, state and local laws, regulations and court orders. 4. Temporary Medical Workers shall be employees of the Contractor. The Contractor shall be responsible for all payroll taxes, workers’ compensation, payroll reports, applicable insurances, and other employer Federal and State mandatory requirements for employees. All Temporary Medical Workers assigned under the resulting contract shall have a W-4 form on file with the Contractor. 5. The Contractor shall be responsible for monitoring and authorizing their Temporary Medical Workers’ vacation, sick leave, and any other type of leave, if applicable. 6. Work policies, procedures, and standards established by the DOC shall be followed by Temporary Medical Workers at all times. Temporary Medical Workers, while on the DOC’s premises, shall conform in all respects with regard to physical, fire, and security/safety regulations. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all rules, regulations, policies, etc. from the DOC and providing the information to the Temporary Medical Workers. 7. The Contractor shall ensure Temporary Medical Workers are given adequate safety and health training rules and regulations of agencies such as OSHA, explanation of their position duties, and ensure that they are provided necessary protections by the DOC.
