1. The awarded Contractor shall perform the expedited removal of private owned vehicles upon request. Vehicles shall include, but shall not be limited to, passenger cars, trucks, SUV's, motorcycles, full size vehicles, commercial vehicles, RV's, boats, and related items. Equipment such as trailers may also be requested. 2. Storage services shall be required and shall be provided by the awarded Contractor. Storage sites shall be located at the awarded Contractors storage facility. The storage facility shall be in the City of Portsmouth or no more than five (5) miles outside City limits. Contractors who do not have their own storage facility shall be deemed non responsible and unable to carry out the responsibilities of this contract. The Contractor shall be liable for all damage that may occur to vehicle and /or equipment while held in the storage facility. 3. The awarded Contractor shall provide the Contract Administrator with a valid and activate phone number and email address for effective and efficient communication. All requests for towing services shall be requested by the City's authorized representative. Services should be available 5 days a week as needed. 4. All fees incurred shall be paid by the owner of the vehicle when they come to pick up their vehicle from storage. The City shall in no way be liable for any fees incurred as a result of this bid. Only the Virginia Department of Motor vehicle register owner is permitted to pick up the vehicle, it shall be the Contractor's sole responsibility to verify.
