Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Hampton Roads Regional Jail is seeking a qualified professional firm to provide all labor and resourcesnecessary to conduct and prepare a Community Based Corrections Plan and a Planning Study, to assist inplanning for the possible expansion of the Hampton Roads Regional Jail at 2690 Elmhurst Lane, Portsmouth,Virginia. The awarded contractor/consultant must meet the below minimum requirements and shall perform andcarry out all requirements of this RFP in a satisfactory and professional manner. The requirements include, butare not limited to the following:1. The awarded contractor shall develop a Community Based Corrections Plan and a Planning Study that isin accordance with the guidelines, rules, regulations and requirements of the Commonwealth ofVirginia, State Board of Corrections, Standards for Planning, Design, Construction and Reimbursementof Local Correctional Facilities.2. The awarded contractor shall be responsible for working with, answering questions for, and representingthe Hampton Roads Regional Jail during the application and evaluation process of presenting theCommunity Based Corrections Plan and the Planning Study to the Virginia Department of Corrections.3. The Community Based Corrections Plan and a Planning Study must be ready for submission to theVirginia Board of Corrections no later than December 26, 2012
