General Duties: ● The Consultant shall provide consulting services to assist the School Board in conducting a national search to find and select the most qualified candidate to serve as Superintendent for Montgomery County Public Schools. The School Board seeks to appoint the Superintendent no later than Tuesday, February 3, 2026. ● The Consultant shall provide a project timeline that identifies the milestones and key deliverables, including the appointment date. ● The Consultant shall identify support needed from the School Board and MCPS departments. ● The Consultant shall comply with all relevant federal, state, and local legal requirements, as well as applicable School Board policies and procedures. ● The Consultant shall provide a one-time additional executive search under the same terms and conditions, at no fee to the School Board, if the successful candidate submitted by the Consultant leaves the employment of the School Board within one year of placement. ● The Consultant shall provide the Board copies of all documents relating to candidates recommended by the Consultant at the time the recommendation is made. With respect to this search, the Board shall receive and approve a copy of all documents sent out on behalf of the Board.
