The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as “VDOT”) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide on-call street sweeping/cleaning services, in accordance with the specifications herein, within the Halifax Residency on routes within Pittsylvania and Halifax Counties. SCOPE OF WORK: • The Contractor shall provide street sweeping/cleaning services as specified in this solicitation. The Contractor’s bid pricing shall include all supervision, labor, equipment, fuel, traffic control, disposal costs, mobilization/demobilization and any other incidentals necessary to provide the service as specified. • The Contractor shall ensure his capacity to perform work under this contract, even though there may be other contractual responsibilities to VDOT or elsewhere. The Contractor shall also be capable of commencing and completing work within the timeframe required. • All work shall be performed according to the standard of the industry and completed to the satisfaction of the VDOT Contract Administrator.
