Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as “VDOT”) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, parts, traffic control, material and debris disposal, as necessary to perform critical restoration work on eight (8) Storm Water Structures, known as Best Management Practices (BMPs), as specified herein, on primary and secondary routes, along the VDOT right-of-way within the counties of Chesterfield, Hanover and Henrico within the Richmond District for the Virginia Department of Transportation; 1. The Contractor shall provide equipment, qualified operators, laborers, supervision, fuel, tools, parts, supplies and incidentals, all equipment and materials as necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the equipment needed for sediment/silt removal at the BMPs as requested by the Contract Administrator or designee. Work shall include but is not limited to sediment removal and removal of silt. 2. Services may be performed at any time of the year even during the winter season, weather permitting, at the discretion of VDOT. Projects must be completed as directed by VDOT. All work shall be performed according to the current DEQ Minimum Standards. 3. The Contractor shall be responsible to provide the crew which includes, but not limited to: supervision, labor, equipment, fuel, traffic control. The contractor shall be responsible for the transportation of personnel and equipment and supplying any and all tools, equipment and/or incidentals necessary to meet the requirements stated within. 4. The Contractor shall be required to provide all necessary traffic control equipment (per the VA Work Area Protection Manual) to include a Truck-Mounted Attenuator (TMA) and Advanced Warning Message Board. On any locations where work takes place beyond the shoulder and does not require lane or shoulder closures, signs and cones shall be used by the Contractor, per Page 6H-8, Work Beyond the Shoulder Operation, of the VA Work Area Protection Manual. 5. All equipment may be inspected by VDOT prior to being placed into operation.
