VDOT intends to enter into multi-year contracts with a qualified firm(s) to provide statewide operations and maintenance supplemental staffing and support for the various support requirements that include, but not limited to, daily operations and maintenance, and project oversight of various Virginia tunnels, moveable bridges, ferries and other VDOT facilities and locations as identified. These activities shall include, but not be limited to: control room operations, tunnel patrolling support, wrecker drivers, electrical / mechanical systems installation, maintenance, and repair, program management assistance, facility maintenance, and roadway emergency response. These activities shall be subject to the Contractor performance, continuing VDOT need and budget availability. There may be a need for technical analysis and support systems enhancements related to the Virginia tunnels, moveable bridges, ferries, and other VDOT facilities and locations as identified. These needs may be met by optional task orders, which may include but are not limited to: staffing, facility installation and maintenance activities, tunnel, ferries and/or highway cleaning, traffic analysis, and facility development enhancements. 2. VDOT intends to award five (5) separate contracts as a result of this RFP: Lot 1 Northern Virginia and Fredericksburg Districts Lot 2 Hampton Roads District Lot 3 Staunton, Culpeper and Richmond Districts Lot 4 Salem and Lynchburg Districts Lot 5 Bristol District All information outlined within this RFP applies to each of the five (5) Lots, unless otherwise specified
