Specifications include, but are not limited to: A term contract to provide snow and ice removal services to the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority: ABC Store # 195 - 100 North Franklin Street Christiansburg, VA 24073-2953. 1. The Contractor shall immediately proceed with snow removal without approval from Virginia ABC when the accumulation of snow is at least three (3) inches deep, or if a Virginia ABC Store Manager or designee requests before three (3) inches of snow has accumulated and if additional accumulation is anticipated. Timing of the clearing shall be coordinated for employees to arrive at the location by 8:00 AM (EST) and leave as needed. 2. If the accumulation is less than three (3) inches, the Virginia ABC Store Manager or designee shall determine the necessity for snow removal and notify the Contractor if services are required. Contractor must be available and respond immediately upon notification from the Virginia ABC Store Manager or designee and Contractor must respond to requests to perform snow and/or ice removal and/or apply appropriate ice melt agent application within two (2) hours of contact. a. Parking lot grates and gutter drains shall not be blocked by piles of snow to allow for water to drain from the site when the snow or ice is melting. 3. The Virginia ABC Store Manager or designee may, at any time, notify the Contractor that snow and/or ice removal services are or are not required. The Virginia ABC Store Manager or designee will attempt to provide a minimum of two (2) hours’ notice when services are required. No additional fees shall be charged.
