Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as “VDOT”) is soliciting bids from qualified vendors to provide trucks and various equipment with operators experienced in snow removal operations to establish contract for the removal of snow, ice and other frozen precipitation from specific routes, including all intersections and cross-overs, listed below within Roanoke County in the Salem Residency’s area. The trucks shall have owner provided plows, saddle tanks (except 1 tons) and chemical spreaders. A contractor supplied shift supervisor with vehicle shall be supplied for every Lot.; Lot 1 - Contractor shall provide a minimum of two (2) Tandem Axle trucks w/plows, saddle tanks, and spreaders.; Lot 2 - Contractor shall provide a minimum of one (1) Single Axle Truck w/plow, saddle tanks and spreader and tandem Axle trucks w/plows, saddle tanks, and spreaders.; Lot 3 - Contractor shall provide a minimum of three (3) Tandem Axle trucks w/plows, saddle tanks and spreaders.; Lot 4 - Contractor shall provide a minimum three (3) Tandem Axle trucks w/plows, saddle tanks and spreaders.; Lot 5 - Contractor shall provide a minimum of one (1) ton truck with plow and spreader, one (1) Single Axle Truck with plow, saddle tank and spreader and one (1) tandem Axle truck w/plows, saddle tanks, and spreaders.
