Specifications include, but are not limited to: It is the intent of these specifications to purchase Heavy Duty Snowplows suitable for high speed highway use. This snowplow shall work with standard truck hitch frame and hydraulic lift assembly now owned and used by the Virginia Department of Transportation. No truck hitch frame or hydraulic lift shall be furnished as a result of this procurement.; Minimum and Maximum Performance Measurements: VDOT will accept performance measurements within the defined range as specified within technical specifications and options. Example: Minimum 17.5” long (+2, -0), means the acceptable length is 17.5” up to 19.5”.; Plow Measurement: The plow height shall be measured from the ground vertically up to the highest point on the inside surface of the moldboard sheet with the plow positioned at a 10 degree angle of attack. The moldboard side profile shall include an integral snow shield or overhang. Required overhang dimensions are noted below and are measured at a 10 degree angle of attack. • 30” high moldboard overhang: 17 to 20 inches; • 36” high moldboard overhang: 20 to 24 inches; • 42” high moldboard overhang: 23 to 28 inches
