Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as “VDOT”) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide equipment with experienced, licensed operators to perform snow and ice removal services on VDOT maintained primary roads throughout Arlington County in VDOT’s Northern Virginia District. Snow Removal Season is defined as November 1st of each year through April 30th of the following year.; Tandem or Multi Axle Trucks with Operators, each equipped with the following: Contractor-provided snow plow of a minimum of eleven (11) feet in length and approximately 30 inches in height and 1,800 pounds in weight Contractor-provided chemical spreader with a minimum of eight (8) cubic yard material capacity Contractor-provided Automatic Vehicle Locator (AVL) unit In order to be responsive to BID LINE 1, Bidders shall offer a minimum of three (3) trucks with operators of the type specified in the bid line description. BID LINE 2: Single Axle Trucks with Operators, each equipped with the following: Contractor-provided snow plow of a minimum of eleven (11) feet in length and approximately 30 inches in height and 1,800 pounds in weight Contractor-provided chemical spreader with a minimum of five (5) cubic yard material capacity Contractor-provided Automatic Vehicle Locator (AVL) unit In order to be responsive to BID LINE 2, Bidders shall offer a minimum of three (3) trucks with operators of the type specified in the bid line description.
