Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The Contractor(s) shall provide the snow removal equipment listed with experienced, licensed operators, fuel, tools, parts, supplies, and all incidentals as necessary for safe and efficient snow removal operation. The work will consist of, but not be limited to snow and ice removal from VDOT maintained roadways. Work shall be performed on an as needed basis on the Coleman Bridge Saluda Residency, Fredericksburg/Hampton Roads District as specified under C, Equipment Descriptions. B. All work performed shall be in conformance with the Virginia Work Area Protection Manual (VWAPM), dated 2011 or latest edition. The Contractor’s equipment and personnel shall meet Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and Virginia Occupational Safety & Health (VOSH) standards. C. EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTIONS: All Contractor equipment shall meet the requirements listed below. The number and type of equipment required is outlined each bid line. 1. Tandem/Multi-axle Spreader and Plow Vehicles: Quantity of 2 - Tandem/Multi-axle vehicles shall be equipped with a snow plow minimum of eleven (11) feet in length, approximately 30 inches in height, and 1,800 pounds in weight, a chemical spreader with a minimum of eight (8) cubic yards or equivalent material capacity and AVL unit. 2. Supervisor Vehicle: Quantity of 2 - The supervisor vehicle shall be a pickup or SUV and be equipped with appropriate flashing lights and means of communicating with their operators. Four-wheel drive is recommended, with AVL unit.
